Dr. Pagano is Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, Division of Child Psychiatry, at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Her primary research interests focus on the conditions that impact the course of addiction recovery among adult and youth populations, including medication-assisted treatment, 12-step facilitated treatment, psychiatric comorbidity, stressful life events, and social networks. She has been a Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator in over fifteen federally-funded clinical investigations, ten clinical trials, and several clinical training grant awards. She has been the Senior Statistician on 6 R01, longitudinal, naturalistic studies of clinical populations with Axis I and Axis II disorders. I have extensive experience overseeing biostatistics of large-scale, multi-site investigations, such as the Collaborative Longitudinal Study of Personality Disorders (R01 MH50840), The Harvard Brown Anxiety Disorder Research Program (R01 MH51415), Prospective Study of Body Dysmorphic Disorder (R01 MH60241-01), and Longitudinal Prospective Study of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (R01 MH50840). Dr. Pagano is currently funded by federal and foundation grant awards, including a NIH career development award to study service and long-term treatment outcomes. With support from the John Templeton Foundation, Dr. Pagano is examining the factors that impact the course of addiction recovery among 100 girls and 100 boys court-referred for residential treatment.
