John Maiden (PhD, University of Stirling) is Head of Religious Studies and Senior Lecturer at the Open University, UK. He is a historian of global charismatic and evangelical movements in the twentieth century. He is the author of Age of the Spirit: Charismatic Renewal, the Anglo-World and Global Christianity, 1945-1980 (Oxford University Press, 2023) and co-editor of Transatlantic Charismatic Renewal, 1950-2000 (Brill, 2021) and Evangelicalism and the Church of England in the Twentieth Century: Reform, Resistance and Renewal (Boydell, 2014). He is a non-residential Fellow of Baylor ISR and the incoming Director of the Evangelical Studies Program.
